I'm lookin at getting a double din DVD player, where can I find one of those dash kits. I see the regular ones everywhere but cant find the one for a double Din.

Correct, I got the kit they sell on Ebay, and my guys at the shop made it work....

 

It shouldnt be too hard to cut the metra kit. All your doing is cutting the pocket out of it.

 

These guys are absolutely right. It only takes a little time and patience to cut the Metra kit to fit either an Double din or ISO double din. My advice to you if you're going to do it yourself is to use an exacto knife on the front to get the line to match up. But you're going to have to heat the tip of the blade so that your lne are as straight as possible. Afterwards a little 180 grit sandpaper can smooth out any spots you messed up on. As for the the back part of the pocket, you can use the exacto knife, or a small rotary tool with a small cut off bit. Good luck let us know how it comes out. BTW the Metra part # is 99-8154

 

Absolutely without the slightest doubt, the Toyota double-din kit is the best one for the GS. It is a FACTORY Toyota part, with exact paint and texture match. Has METAL mounting brackets (side), not plastic. How can you do better than that? It's about $45 bucks from Steve Ganz at Carson Toyota, one of our sponsors.
