ok i dont post much but this thread killllled me....first off, $1100 for wheels and tires??? what are you getting, 16's?? u never mentioned what it is youre getting for that price. 1100 for 16's = good quality. anything bigger youre getting garbage (unless used) and does not belong on a lexus. and as for $1200 for a turbo setup that puts out 300 whp??? this i need to see. do u think its as easy as bolting it on and going? what type of turbo setup does this 1200 dollars get you? **** if its that cheap and easy ill take 3.

do your research before just buying cheap **** and thinking you have a totally sweet car. it takes more than some cheap rims to get the "hey look at my car look"...unless its in a bad way. save up, and get some good things, dont rush it, have fun. good talk.

LOL, thanks guy. I dont know who you think I am, but I am not stupid. The rims may not be a well known brand, but I have seen them on a Lexus before...RPM 505, and like I said, I have the hook up on tires...I can get 4 tires for the price of 2. Look, I already have half the stuff for the turbo. Anyway, I gotta go, when I get back, I will continue, but please dont call me stupid anymore or tell me to research, because I have!

Like I was saying, Ive done all the research, and I have seen these rims on a 2nd Gen GS and they looked good, they are the same style as the HP EVO rims on indypwr's car. They are just 700 dollars instead of 1000 dollars. Staggered setup, 19x8.5 and 19x9.5. I know what Im doing and I am by no means stupid.
As for the turbo. I already have a manifold, an SAFC2, exhaust(which we all know will add some serious power with a turbo), and a couple of other little mods. Between what Ive read here and on Supra forums, and clubna-t, I am pretty sure the way Im going will be just fine. Its not hard to achieve 300rwhp out of the 2JZ when boosted. It can easily be done at 8psi with a 60+ trim turbo, which I plan on. Also, as for right now, I will be going with a cheap eBay turbo, and yes I know, you are probably like wow....but I dont care, if it works for long enough so I can afford a GT series turbo, then I will be happy, and if it doesnt, then it will be pretty easy to replace with another one.
Anyway, Im goin to sleep, you sir, have a good day.

Still talking ****? The wheels arent cheap, I can get then cheap because my dads friend works at BMW and is the parts manager, so he can pretty much get a discount on everything. WTF are you talking about fuel for? You need to do your ****in research, the stock 330s are not even close to their duty cycle when trying to push 300whp, all I need is a new fuel pump, which I plan on getting. I had 440s but I sold them once I did some more research. Not all eBay turbos suck, there was a guy on Supra forums that ran a ebay turbo kit on his TT for over 6000 miles with no problems. Like I said, dont come here talkin **** to me man, Ive done about a years worth of research, and I know what Im doing, seems your the one that needs to do your research, and keep your advice to yourself.

One more thing. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=210552
And if you dont click on the link, dont post in my thread anymore.

hahah your retarded, its not even up for debate. "my dads frined is the bmw blah blah blah"... means nothing. i manage a large shop here in NY and $1100 for wheels and tires even MY cost is still crap...unless you're getting some 16's or something. and yes, if they are styled after those cheap HP's then they are cheap knockoffs...of cheap knockoffs. go ahead and do all your own work and research and have fun with your super fast turbo setup. this is gay and im done. k bye

I thought you were done? LOL, dude seriously, your trying to lecture me over something you dont know anything about. Throwing word like boost controller and fuel out there, doesnt mean you know something about turboing a car. You can buy a DaveH turbo kit that comes with a turbo, a manifold, shorty downpipe, wastegate, and wastegate dump pipe for 1800 dollars, and you can boost 5psi and not have any problems, you dont even need an intercooler. Here in Texas I will definitly have an intercooler, because, well, its freakin hot. Either way, I already have a manifold, which will usually run around 600-1500 dollars, its pretty much the second most important piece, next to the turbo. Then comes the wastegate. I have one laying around in the garage somewhere, I just need to find it. It came off my uncles turbo transam. Now, whats next, ah yes, the turbo. So what if Im not getting a name brand turbo. As far as I can see, there is nothing wrong with the turbo Im getting, its not a XSPower turbo, so it should be fine. I have a TT MAF so later when I want to upgrade I can. As for the intercooler, ebay intercoolers arent bad, core volume and boost drop arent bad.

Oh yeah, if you want to ***** about wheels and tires, go ahead, but like I said, I know who to go through. I dont care about what your shop gets them for, thats NY. Things are cheaper in the south. And good job makin fun of HP EVOs. Bet you feel real good. Makes you feel like a big man huh? Not everyone wants a bagged GS on some huge 20s. I would rather be able to go fast, but thats just me.

dude...you're retarded. pretty sure i know what a little turbo kit entails, as its part of my job. if you're spending 1200 on a full turbo setup and everythign associated with it, you're gonna have problems. godamn ballers on a budget. so my huge 20's are bigger than say, normal 20's?

and you left a category out of your poll:

-rims?
-turbo?
-come out of the closet?

Real funny. And your calling me the kid...lol. You have freakin TSW rims on your car and your talkin to me about cheap rims. Dont worry about me, why dont you get on with your business and stop posting in my thread? that would be great, considering Im a little kid and dont know what Im doing. I really dont care about any advice you have to give. It was just a poll to see what people thought, and you come in here talkin **** and calling me the kid, dude seriously, stop posting in this thread, it really has nothing to do with you unless you have decided which one I should do first.

You guys remind me of a cheerleading movie...haha, bring it....oh its already been brought!!
Quit bickerin guys, what good will it do, one knows more than the other about turbos or wheels.....

Callaghan: You seem like a legitamate guy who knows what he's talkin about when it comes to wheels. You could maybe even know more bout turbos or wheels but don't come inhere out of nowhere and just start talkin $&#* man....be a lil mature bout this. For gods sake, Abear just wants advice.

Abear: Callaghan is right somewhat, you know how the saying goes, "You get what you pay for" But if you feel you have done enough research and think it will work, then go ahead and do it.

You came in here thinkin I was some stupid kid. Im not. Who cares what rims I get? Do you really care that much that you have to talk ****? Im not worried about the parts that Im getting for MY turbo kit. I know they arent gonna explode on me. The only 2 things coming from ebay are the turbo and intercooler, and someone on supraforums has tested the intercooler Im buying, and I already told you about the turbo. Seriously though, if you dont like arguments so much, why did you continue to argue...doesnt make any sense to me, then again, Im just some stupid kid.
