I have a 94 with 127k miles and yesterday i put the car in reverse and the car didnt go anywhere!! ...and yes the car was on!!!!!!!! it took 30 seconds for the transmission to engage itself. ive had the car since august and i have never changed the tranny fluid yet. but my father says dont change it because it has missed the service deadline and might not work at all. another guy says drive it till it dies!!!!!!! what should i do?

Not to overstate the obvious but did you at least check the tranny fluid level for starters? Unless you have skin on your feet like Fred Flintstone you may be in for one hell of a ride someday!!!!!

yes i checked it, but i know for a fact that it needs to be changed. my question is, is there a proper mileage time for you to change your tranny fluid?

For you, i'd say immediately!! But kennedy transmition reccomends once a year or 12000 miles, but they are playin it safe so you go for a few grand more.

Better play it safe than sorry, and pay 50$ a year for fresh fluids or pay a few grand for a new tranny
