JDM lights have an extra socket for a light known as the "city light". It is usually an led.

all you gotta do is tap the wires on the turn signal bulbs.......when you turn "on" your parking lights, the city lights will be "on" as well.

well that I know. i also have an LED on the day time runing light and the wiring is done correctly, to the point that my turn signals DO NOT turn on as day time running lights; my headlights are working pretty much like JDM ones. My question is what kind of bulb is that, or how do they do this mod and how do they wire it?

I plan to do the same to my car as well when I get the time, I've been doing makeovers to my motorcycles. I already have the 194 sockets. It seems all that has to be done is to drill the hole in the back of the headlight housing to install the sockets and runt he wire. I've decided to use a simple relay and fuse (can never be too safe, right?) and wire it via the relay to a dash mounted switch, then I can turn it off/on whenever I like. In the rare instance that the fuse should blow, it doesn't affect any other lighting. I think it's best to put it on its own circuit and don't tap into anything else, I think it should work just fine!
