Ok so the tailights are like so:

[OO |GS300| OO]

For a while the 2nd one to the left was out so it was like:

[OX |GS300| OO]

Well my car sat in a alley in minneapolis for 4 months while I happily drove around my new IS. After a while I started to make some money and I realized how much I missed my GS and picked it back up again and started to work on it.

Well since I got it the light on the dash that tells me if a taillight is out has been on constantly. But everytime I look at my tailights they are all one but the one that used to always be out is now at LEAST 3 times brighter!! So now its like:

[OO |GS300| OO]

Does anyone know what is going on??

 

I wish I knew because mine does the same thing. One indicator is for brake lights and one is for running lights. The brake light one is always on and the running light one comes on when my lights are on. Even after replacing all of the bulbs, the indicators still come on. My girlfriends 93 Camry does the same thing. I think its a common problem, anybody else have issues?

 

change all the bulbs to the same type.the new one may have a higher wattage.try that.
