Check Engine Light Turns On And Off

HI EVERYBODY IM NEW TO THIS SITE. I HAVE A 1993 GS 300. MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TURNS OFF AND ON. TOOK IT TO A SHOP, MECHANIC SAID IT WAS THE EGR VALVE. MY FRIEND HAD CHANGE THE EGR VALVE. THE ENGINE LIGHT TURNS OFF AND ON NOW. I NOTICED THAT WHEN THE AC IS ON IT WILL TURN OFF SOON AFTER. WHAT CAN THE PROBLEM BE????PLEASE HELP...

When your friend did the EGR did he clean the EGR sensor?

And did he do the EGR piping too? Usually that's what gets clogged in the EGR system. It's the piping that runs from the EGR valve to the exhaust port. They use a flexible wire with bristles on the ends to clean it out.
