Guaging intrest on a 91 legend 6spd 2 door coupe.
Would asking 6 for it be too much? The car has 150,000 miles... i know it's a lot but the tranny/clutch has been changed within the past year. Also the tires/brake pads/rotors/tires are new. The car also had a whole paint job due to the years of rock chips and scratches it has endured. The car got rear ended before so the trunk is a little ot of alignment, the a.c also needs to be fixed. It works when it feels like it. Other than that, the car runs strong. The car is painted white, the original color was also white. As you all know this is a very rare car and i'm wondering if 6g is a fair price to ask for it considering all the work that has been done to the car is the past 2 years. I forgot to mention the shocks/springs were changed 3 years back. I see the 2 door 6 speeds go for 7+ on autotrader but i don't know how realistic the prices are but this car runs great... Anyways let me know guys . Thanks

Hey man,
If it is a 91 6 speed then I am guessing you switched from a 5 speed. Did you also switch to the Type II motor???
The reason the 6 speeds sell for $7k+ on autotrader is b/c they are going to be a 93-95 coupe or a 94-95 GS sedan - both offering the Type II motor. If you only have the Type I then having an extra gear really isn't offering anything more favorable. It is the difference of 30hp where the extra $$$ comes in.
Also, has the TB & WP been done again for the 150k service??? What about HG - any overheating problems??
Just trying to offer advice, good luck with the sale,
Jonny

hrm.. the person that is selling the car told me it's a 6 spd.. maybe i heard wrong. he swapped out the old tranny with a new one, does the 6 speed fit on the type 1 engine? There are no problems with the engine, regular maint has been done with the car. The timing belt and water pump were replaced again.

Pics would help.
Have you never driven this car? Dx3 is right - 91-93 had 5 speed/Type I. 93-95 had 6 speed/Type II.
Do your research and good luck with your sale.
