BINGO. You have nailed it, this is EXACTLY what I want to do. I have lived in other countries, and travel all the time. Thus I want a low key, relaxing few days. In the middle of it, I have to propose, so I don't want too much distraction away from it.

This is awesome! I will owe you guys so much.

I just checked the Bilmar and I really like it. Right on the beach. If you recommend it, and say its good, I trust your judgement.

Will make reservation this weekend, and go from there. I will probably bug you guys about some restuarants and such.

What else to do in treasure island?

We would be flying in Friday morning and leaving Sunday night!

Thanks again.

Yeah, Thunderbird and Bilmar are almost next to each other. And yes, do the proposal during a sunset. It's quite epic.

I have never stayed there myself considering I live 2 min away from it, but I heard they just remodeled, so I assume it'll be nice. Beach is amazing. Get a ocean front room with a balcony if you're proposing!

Let's see... in Treasure Island... you can parasail, dolphin watching (free beer), go fast boat ride, Jet ski rental, boat rental, Gators is usually fun. Look into a place called John's Pass, that is like the boardwalk area (not walking distance, but VERY short cab ride). Other than that, I would say, just go out to the beach and relax.

That sounds perfect!!

Yeah the rooms that are avail, all say Gulf Side (which I assume means Ocean side).

I would like to propose on the beach, at sunset

Gulf Side is Ocean Side.

Let me know if you need anything else.

Bradenton Beach/Anna Maria Island. I grew up on that beach and it is awesome. Alot of small local hotels right on the beach, mostly all locals, plenty of local restaurants. I love that Island sooo much.

My friend threw a prom afterparty at the Bilmar a couple years ago. It was nice. What was even nicer was that since he stayed on the higher level he didn't need to have the AC on because of the mega-awesome beach breeze.

When Gator Alum said it's a very short cab ride, it really is. HAHA
