2024 Polestar 4 To Debut April 18 As Brand's Fastest Production EV

Polestar will unveil its all-electric SUV coupe at the Shanghai auto show next week

Summary:

"Polestar will unveil its third all-electric vehicle, the Polestar 4, at the Shanghai auto show on April 18, 2023. The fully electric SUV coupe will also be the fastest Polestar production car to date. The EV performance brand did not reveal any specs, but we can expect the Polestar 4 to sprint from zero to 62 mph (100 km/h) in under 4 seconds, seeing as the Polestar 2 BST edition 230 does it in 4.4 seconds.

Polestar says the 4 will adopt design cues and sustainability enhancements that were initially showcased in its concept cars"

Still can't decide if I like the P3 styling. Interior is nice.

Thanks! I'm keeping mine there too. I think it's the factory default

I assume you use a Level 2 charger. You would want to set it at either the max amp of the L2 charger or the circuit. In my case the circuit is a 50 amp, but the charger is 40 amp. If you set it higher than the amps for your circuit, you could trip the breaker

I'm using the cable that came with the car, which doesn't pull more than 40 amps

Setting it at 48 amps should be fine unless you trip the breaker or the fuse on the charger cable

I like the styling a lot but similar to the Polestar 2 I don’t like the grey cladding so I would have to get it in black. I think I would still be a Rivian R1S since I need something a little bigger.

I really think the Polestar 3 is going to be an awesome SUV, and I would consider one over a Model Y if the prices point was dropped to $70K. But the Model Y has the superior charging infrastructure and lower price, so P3 is out.

BTW I would only get it in Black or some other dark color to hide the bottom trim

I was waiting for MY to drop some more too but I changed my mind after playing around my coworker M3 (new) for a day.

You don't like the Model 3? I absolutely love it. But I can understand it's simplicity is not for everyone. Is it the LR or Performance (your friends Model 3)?

Base version, I don't think they have M3 LR available right now.
- For a $40k+ car, I expected more, for her convenience, she have to buy chargers, garage opener, glass roof cover because it is hot for TX sun (I tell her tint it), $10 sub per month. We drive around a bit, and I don't like how it drive, we also compare to 2020 M3 side by side, I think the 2020 version built better or maybe just me.

Like you said, Tesla charging network miles ahead of EA, hard to go with different car.

I see a few Polestars here and there, but, even here in the D.C. area with its massive traffic level, they don't seem to be selling in very large numbers.
