Gas will go back down, I know it seems impossible but it will. And the tax man is coming for EV owners are y’all serious? Enjoy cheap juice or otherwise running costs while they last, I mean that sincerely.

How are you going to mod this? I’m genuinely curious?

That's totally wrong what you are saying. The Lightning has enough of a powersource to power a house for three days. In California you can easily take it on a camping trip LOL. Yes going 300 miles into the dessert or forest may not be the smartest thing in the world, but 100 percent you can take this camping

Electricity has to go up 400 percent to match gas prices. And how many people actually mod their cars? Like 5 percent of the population?

They invented this thing called Solar. You should check it out

I will probably lift and make it similar to my prior f150....

Ps - what's up with the EV hate / jealousy these days?

That's the question I'm curious about. Something about fearing new tech, but then they discover it actually is better and makes their lives easier. I remember when the smartphone first came out, there were people who just wouldn't give up their flip phones. "From my dead hands" I heard someone say. But he was like 70 years old, so yeah, I understand why he was resistant

Even my most most ardent trucker friends have accepted it as inevitable, but that doesnt mean ICEs and EVs can't C03X!$T I love both for what they can do, and don't try to nitpick them to suit my own viewpoints....

I just have to make a quick correction here. Here are two builds, one is for the F-150 Lightning with the Extended range battery and the F-150 Raptor:

F-150 Raptor

F-150 Lightning with Extended Range Battery

It seems the F-150 Raptor is pretty pricey, so I guess rich people only buy EV's and non Rich people buy non EV's? That stereotype is pretty misleading

your thread title was originally click bait, as you didn't show the 54 mile range was while towing a CAMPER. please try to be specific next time.

Gas aint going back down, sorry to break it to you. It will recede some from its highs, but short another worldwide calamity we're never seeing gas below $4 a gallon again. As for charging costs, you can't raise electricity costs for charging a vehicle without raising costs for all other electricity, which isn't going to happen. Taxes are only a small part of a gallon of gas anyways (about 35 cents). That means if you use 15 gallons a week, your total gas tax expenditure is $280 a year or so. They'll tack that onto an EV registration fee or something and be whole.

I don’t mean camping at the RV park 5 miles off the main road easy peasy. You brought up the Raptor. I said “desert running”, which many Raptor owners actually partake in. You conveniently went back and edited your post, making it look like you were noting ahead of me that this Lightning won’t be very useful off road.

Taxes hitting you hard, not gas money. Gas will go back down though….eventually. Uncle Sam is coming big time for EV owners.

It is a matter of opinion that EV is superior to ICE. This isn’t even close to the same thing as flip phones versus iphones. I’m shocked the usual horse and buggy comparison didn’t come up this time as well.

Oh it's even worse than that.... The F150 Lightning in question only had 85 miles of range left when the trailer was attached, and the vehicle calculated that it would have 54 miles of range with that load.

The Lightning has a pretty sophisticated system called Intelligent Range which uses data about your trailer, data from the onboard scales, data about the conditions en route, route topography and data from other drivers with similar loads to estimate your range. it's clever stuff.

I 100% will bet you on this.

What do you think will cause gas prices to dramatically decrease? Just from inflation alone, once inflation happens, its happened and doesn't go backwards, again unless you're talking about a worldwide calamity.

All this amazing stuff to tell you that about 90-100 miles (liberally) is about as far as you’ll go when towing anything, wow. My guess is more like 50-75.

As far as title I didn’t mean it to be clickbait I thought I mentioned the towing. My mistake.
