Funny thing, I've owned 2 Model Ys for almost 2 years now, but have never taken my family out on long trips with them (unlike @AMIRZA786 who just got his and driven to socal many times already lol), until now for the long 4th of July weekend.
I took my family (just the 3 of us) from SF Bay Area (San Jose) to LA to San Diego and back (around 350miles to LA and another 100 miles to San Diego). We had a bit of cargo with us (3 large luggage, 3 backpacks, and misc food), but had plenty of room.
I drove around 80mph avg with a few bursts to 100+, traveling over 2 mountain ranges. We made 2 charging stops: 1 to eat lunch (Harris Ranch BBQ!), and the other a bio break and to stretch our legs a bit. All in all, it did take a little longer then ICE ride, but was a quiet, comfortable, and relaxing ride. I could of maybe gone slower and stretched it to 1 stop, but I'm a lead foot....and I have on 285/40/19 summer tires (from 255/45s)...
The Model Y didn't break a swear through the mountains (instant max torque all the time), and I took her past triple digits on a few occasions to keep up with a fast group). There was plenty of charging all about so we chose stops according to our needs (lunch/dinner/biobreaks/shopping/etc).

So all in all, no issues whatsoever...
A total pleasure of car to take on family trips! If you stick to a steady 80 mph, avoid full throttle starts, two quick stops at about 30 minutes total is all you need to get between NorCal and SoCal! You need about two bio breaks anyway

Stop. You are bursting the bubble of all the naysayers. Teslas are for rich California granola heads and will collapse outta business any day now! And Elon is wack, doncha know? Wait for the big boys to get in...

false strawmen much? i don't know anyone who thinks it's a hardship to go up and down the state of california in a tesla.

first off, yes, most teslas are bought by affluent people and most have another car or two or five, plus.
again, maybe some earlier thought tesla might go under, and so did elon musk state over and over that it was a close thing, but i can't imagine many think that now.
so perhaps we can stop with the same tropes over and over...

I was just poking a litte fun; sincere apologies to anyone who might be offended.
Interesting, not so long ago, all that stuff was true, or at least was believed to be. Heck I believed it and I bought the car!
I was wrong. So was everone else. It seems the world is at a bit of an inflection point... Interesting times ahead.

Thank you for the laughs, relax. Lol
Please add, "tree huggers" to the list. Lol
Hey, that's what many of us really thought.
I now see a love for ICE and EV from the same owners. Lol
Losing my.mind, now everything's inverted and reality crashed, rebooting now, lol

You know, I would have said that I love both, and I do, but I have surprised myself as I am really starting to appreciate the Model 3 nowadays.
Our GS350 is my car (actually all the cars are wifey's) and it is a great car. So easy to get in an go, getting gas anywhere anytime.
But I can tell you, starting each day with a full tank, not stopping and paying $5+ for Premium is pretty great.
The driving characterists of the Model 3 really grow on you. Things are changing; color me surprised.
Just my 2 cents, YRMV.
