Let's say for some reason you are forced to replace your current EV and you aren't allowed to buy something from the same brand. What would you buy?
I own a Tesla Model Y and my contenders would be:
- Rivian R1S or R1T
- BMW i5 or i7
- Mercedes EQE or EQS sedan
- Genesis - I'd look at everything they offer (not overly familiar with their EV lineup)
And if you don't own an EV but were forced to buy one tomorrow, what would you buy?

In the current market, it would be an EV6 GT.

I already have a Polestar 2 and Ioniq 5, so if I was to add another EV that was non Tesla:
Personal commuters on my list:
BMW i5 M60
Hyundai Ioniq 5 N
Family/commuter for wife on my list:
Kia EV9
Rivian R1S

Kia EV9 or Ioniq5. But if they were available today, R2 or R3

Rivian R2 would be my non-Tesla choice if it was available. If I could find a reasonably priced used R1S I'd take that too.
Wife would probably do an i4 if the rear seat wasn't terrible or maybe an EQB or XC40. I guess those exist in the US I've never actually seen either of them

I met a Leaf owner couple days ago. Not sure what gen he has but he charges his car at the Nissan dealership….for FREE!! Like he plugged it in, took his work stuff out, locked the door and left. Told me he would pick it up in the morning. I get some free juice from there as well once a week.
He told me his range varies from 150-220 miles in ideal conditions. 150 in the winter. He came from a Prius he had for 15yrs over 200k miles no issues. Told me he chose the Leaf over Tesla because it was cheaper at the time but he wouldn’t buy another Leaf.

Even though I love my Polestar 2, I may get into a dual motor Volvo EX30. It's cheaper and faster. 0-60 in 3.4 sec. It is smaller, but I drive solo 99% of the time.![Big Grin](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
My current lease ends in August.

I would definitely get a Taycan Turbo as my first choice and my second choice would be a BMW i7 although if I had more faith in Lucid, I would get one of those over the i7.
