good question!

now the initial novelty has worn off a bit, it pretty much fits my previous impression of ev's which is 'smooth appliance'

the ioniq 5 in particular though has packaging i really like, that is. short front/rear overhangs to maximize wheelbase and interior space.

but what do i like most... i guess the electric powertrain (no noise, instant response), although i REALLY don't like the whining sound at low speed (under 25) so pedestrians are 'warned' but that's a govt requirement.

 

we've had some rain recently and i discovered the driver's side wiper seems to be flawed (leaves inch wipe streak of missed wiping on the down stroke.
could go to dealer to get replaced for free probably but ioniq forum said the wipers suck, don't bother.
so i ordered bosch icon wipers which are supposed to be good,

another update, i discovered that the mirrros will only fold IN at 7mph or slower, but they'll fold OUT and seemingly any speed. inquiring minds wanted to know

home charging going great, i typically charge every 3rd day or so.

 

Glad you are enjoying the Ioniq. Bosch windshield wipers should fix the streaking. It's still a relatively new platform, so there will be some teething pain.

My wife is enjoying her Ioniq, and it hopefully will serve her well over the next two years

 

Bosch icon wipers seem to work perfectly.
it's interesting because they're a lot simpler in design than the Hyundai ones.

 

so i had to take the ioniq 5 to the gas station today.
