Not sure if that's an el cheapo unit or not but it's built with nice features.
The onboard STM32 microcontroller chip is one of my favorites to code in "bare metal" style programming and those chips also come with many communication peripherals already built in.
What this means is this device is already onboard equipped to communicate as a master or a slave on a network or direct connection to a host and transfer data in real time in a choice of many onboard communication protocols.
i take it the plug outlet would reach via cable to any ev you have? is his dryer in the garage?

the issue typically is less about connectors than it is about wiring. for higher current/watts you need thicker copper/aluminum wires. if you tried to run 40 amps through that 30A circuit you definitely run the risk of burning down the house unless there's a breaker to stop you doing that.
i would say whatever you plan on doing, still have a decent electrician look it over or do it.

No, the dryer is in a little laundry alcove that is off the kitchen, and the driveway pulls up right to the kitchen door, so you would have to run the cable out the door to the car. Wouldn't be very far, just kinda annoying. There is also a big shed at the end of the driveway that may have a 240v outlet in it, that would be better.

And that is what is at risk in this house.
So some background, our grandfather built this house and our dads grew up in it. It was in the family until 7 or 8 years ago when my uncle (his dad) died and my aunt (his mom) decided she didn't want to live down there anymore, so we sold the house, it needed TONS of work. A guy bought it, and renovated it and we bought it back from him and my cousin and his wife moved down there. Issue is, the panel is an old panel that is outside on the porch and that leads me to believe a lot of the wiring in the house was not replaced or improved. All the outlets are now grounded, the house has AC now where it didn't before so I may be wrong, but the panel and the service entry were not replaced nor was the service entry brought up to the lates WV code, so I have my doubts.
Thats where my concerns come from. So its entirely possible that dryer plug may be a 14-50 plug, and if there is one in the building it may be too. I will know when I am there in two weeks.
I would say whatever you plan on doing, still have a decent electrician look it over or do it.
Issue is finding one down there...

No need to over think this. Just buy a variable output charger and with the time you're going to be there you can comfortably charge at a relatively low rate, say 12 amp. You're really not going to put any strain on the circuit, you're not trying to pull down 30 or 40 amps. That same variable charger could have you charging at home at 30 amps, 40 amps or more and would charge a 16 kWh battery in no time. Just avoid a fixed rate mobile charger. You never know when you need to charge or what you're dealing with when you're traveling and the ability to adjust the rate is super helpful.

10/16/20/24/32 mobile charger

Some cars allow you to adjust the amps, like my Polestar and I believe the Model Y does it automatically. A few times I charged my Polestar at my brothers house, the Polestar charging cable is 32 amp and he had a 12 amp extension cord, so I adjusted it to 12 amp. It was slow as heck, but it did the job, overnight I was able to get enough to get where I needed to go and hit a fast charger coming back to his house

Dont want to rent a car for those trips, want to drive my awesome car. I really enjoy taking my car on that trip. We’re not just talking about a daily here, we’re talking about spending $2,000 a month on a car…I want to be able to use it when I want to use it
