Daughter and I took the dog for a walk yesterday and we saw a neighbor who had two white brand new Model Y's parked in the driveway. I'm assuming one for him and one for her! Only difference was interior colors, white on white and white on black
I don’t like the black plastic cladding on the car so getting it in black makes it look a lot better to me.

That's the cover for the the battery pack. They probably don't paint it because I don't think most people really care

Oh, I know why everyone orders them in white . The problem is, parking lots (including my works) are filling up with either white or grey (mostly white) Model Y's. Since the price dropped pretty significantly, I figured what is $1500 more for Black. Plus I really like cars in black. Most importantly, mine will at least stick out...

It is hard to tell from the pictures, at my work parking lot only white, grey and black Tesla (s), and I rarely see any blue around me, or most of them not clean looking.

Oh for sure. Black on Black is my favorite color combo too.....it has been always my first choice.

I mean around the wheel wells, I really don’t like the black plastic used in those areas kind of like your Polestar. It’s not noticeable when the car is black but on a white or lighter colored car it looks terrible to me.

I think they put those plastic pieces there to make it look uniform with the underbody pieces. I agree, they should paint them

Just installed the Tesla Mobile charger as a backup to our main Electrify Home Level 2 charger. The difference is 11kW 40 amps vs 8 kW 32 amps (both use 220v)

Nice, you got everything ready for your Tesla.

My order still shows Est. delivery April 2023. What are the chance that Tesla will email/text me tomorrow that my car is ready for pick-up.....lol

I highly doubt that. Unless the color I ordered is hard to get, my ETA is between the 30th (tomorrow, highly doubtful as they send you the assigned VIN ahead of time for loan/insurance purposes) and May 15. Next week I'm going to SoCal, so hopefully it's not ready for delivery until the week after!

Makes a lot more sense. Do they not have a metallic white?

They don’t care because they don’t have a different choice. If they do, they would.
