I have used a simple trunk bike rack on my 2013 ES for years now and am concerned that I won't be able to use it, or any trunk mounted bike rack on the 2026 ES. The rear trunk lid appears to be the same as on the Toyota Crown. There is no gap between the trunk lid and the rear window. I called Toyota to see if they carry a hitch for the Crown sedan, and they do not. I would bet that Lexus will not offer one either.

I need about 3/16 of an inch gap to insert the clips for the trunk rack. Does anyone have any thoughts about this? No bikes = no 2026 ES for me!

 

The new ES is a different car and most likely an aftermarket will be available after it is here.

 

Lexus has been aggressive with accessories. I assume it will be an option.
