Are you referring to the box surrounding the mic icon? I have I experienced it a few of times during my ownership so far with blank box showing up at random. It is a software glitch. I have upgraded the multimedia system and hoping it will fix the issue directly or indirectly through the update.

When I get in my car this screen shows up, pushing the back button won’t clear it.
The only way to clear it is to hit the voice button and then cancel it.
Anyone know why this is happening?
That is an icon associated with the "Mobile Assistant" functionality. Since you're having to hit the voice button to clear it, that "microphone with prohibited symbol" icon means somehow the "Mobile Assistant" was invoked but either no external device with "Mobile Assistant" compatible voice capability (e.g., iPhone with Siri) is connected or a compatible device is connected but the "Mobile Assistant" functionality is being overridden by some other operation.
On a few occasions I get that pop-up icon display state when attempting to start up voice command but hold the voice button down a tad bit too long and inadvertently invoke "Mobile Assistant" without having an external "Mobile Assistant" compatible device connected. However, I can't recall getting that icon popping up and stay up until dismissed just by getting in the car (and presumably after you've start up the car or started up in accessory mode).
The documentation on "Mobile Assistant" operations is severely lacking. The few videos on it show normal operations. In those videos the "microphone with prohibited symbol" icon only appears for short temporary periods when a "Mobile Assistant" operation is cancelled or a "Mobile Assistant" operation has completed and the "Mobile Assistant" connection is being disconnected.
Anyone have any updates here? I get this every time I start my brand new 2024 Lexus UX. It’s when my apple carplay connects and have to hit the back button. Annoying that I have to hit a button every time it starts.
