Lots of conversations about need for wireless android auto. I have worked around this by using standard navigation and running all other Android Auto apps like iHeart Radio, TuneIn, and Pandora through Alexa. I can play all of these by asking Alexa.
The only problem I have had is the need to manually log into the Enform App before I drive. It auto reconnects if I make multiple trips in a day but the next day I usually have to log in again. It's not automatic like a bluetooth connection.
Does anybody know anything about the Enform biometrics setting? I thought this would help but all it does is request a different password. There doesn't seem to be anything automatic about it.

I use aawireless and it works great. You can order it on Indiegoggo
Interesting but you still have a cord and a device you have to put somewhere.
True. The device is small enough to disappear into the phone slot in front of the cup holder. I have a 4 inch cable and just keep it plugged in.
Android Auto fires right up when I get into the car. For short drives I keep my phone in my pocket and for longer rides I put my phone on the wireless charger.
