Rear bumper appliqué
I bought an OEM rear bumper appliqué for my 2024 ES300h, and obtained the OEM mounting instructions. Since I messed up my first attempt at DIY installation, I’m hoping that some more talented members might kindly offer advice. Thanks very much!
It’s applied similar to PPF and window film.
1) Clean the bumper free of lint dust etc. Don’t use wax.
2) Use a spray bottle with water and add several drops of liquid soap. Take the protective backing off. Try not to touch the adhesive, you can use tape to hold the film vertical (so no dust lands on the film) when your spraying the back of the film.
3) Position the film on the bumper (it should slide around fairly easy with the water/soap solution while positioning it).
4) Once positioned, spray the top of the film (squeegee slides easier and won’t scratch it) and use a small rubber squeegee starting from the center working towards the edges to get the water bubbles out.
5) once all out your done! Let it cure overnight (the water should evaporate out).

sc430sc has the right solution if film still useable.
