Which interior color combination would you prefer?
My car on the left and another es350 2024 to the right but I noticed that the interior colors are completely different.
which do you prefer?
and what’s the names of those colors?
Both pictures look like palomino to me. Here is a pic of a local dealer's car with that color. Personally, I do not like it. I have macadamia but also would have bought black.
Those two are palomino, not sure what model(s) come with brown vs black trimmings.
We are kinda set on palomino...macademia is too light, acorn brown or black are too dark. Our current ES is black interior and its OK, but we're also looking for something different this time.
Went with black for my F sport model. Pretty sure I would've been happy with red/black interior too, but definitely would not have been happy with the white/black interior.

The second one w/less black is better, but either could be ok as there is some contrast/something inside to break up the depressing all-black otherwise.

Its kinda hard to get a good read on the brown in most pictures, though the ones in this thread are decent.
Macadamia looks almost white in most "dealer provided" pics...even this morning I had a dealer tell me the interior in their car for sale looks "very light gray"
I find Palomino to be a good middle ground, especially with the black "other pieces". Now actually finding a Sunlit Green ES UL with Palomino...that's a different story.

Agree, it’s a hard distinction. Frankly, I don’t like what Lexus has done with a mish-mash of colors and often NOT complimentary to each other. My brother bought a recent (‘23 I think) Jag F-Pace and the interior is exactly would I would expect Lexus to have; refined and elegant vs. a stripe-fest.
This is what his looks like (stock photo, I had a pic of his for comparison but not on this device):

Yep, for some reason or another Ive never ended up with a vehicle that doesnt seem to make odd interior decisions. My 2011 G37 with the "dirty white" a-pillars and headliner, no matter what color interior you get. My 2017 RAM has the same idea. Our 2015 ES with the black interior and...the same dumb off-white headliner and a-pillars.
At least the current ES has a different headliner to match the "main" interior color, but yep...no matter what you choose you end up with 2 or 3 colors in the interior. I get the idea behind parts re-usability, but as a luxury car (even "low end" like the ES might be considered), Id prefer something unique. The only real saving grace of an ES over the Avalon (previously) or the Camry (now) is the price being so close depending on trim level.

I refer to the practice as “The Cheapening.” It’ a continuous, linear process on vehicles manufactured after c. 2010, and across most major brands, Volvo, BMW, Lexus, etc. Lexus started with the 3rd gen GS350 and LS460, late 00s. It has been a steady downhill slide very since. It’s one reason I won’t upgrade my 2009 GS350 - the interiors just get worse and I can put a GROM unit in it and be up-to date with most tech I want. Even our 02 ES300 which soldiers on is a supreme road car in that regard; excellent interior vs. newer ones. We took it on a day-long road trip last year vs. newer cars for that reason + two small dogs in it. Was very pleasant and no less pleasant than a newer GS or NEW ‘24 UL ES, except that rock-like stable ride in the UL because of the lateral Yamaha performance dampers. That’s one sweet feature I would like to retrofit on older cars. Someone needs to start making kits for that, and I am sure they will before long.
