Default suggestid ES 350 replacement battery

X2Power Pn:SLI 24F AGMDP, from Battery Plus.It exceeds original man. specs and has a 5 year full replacement warranty.I have this battery in my other Lexus - 2002 for 4yrs now with no problems.I intend to put one in my new Lexus when needed. The cost was 300.plus,but well worth it. Good luck.

Is the 7th Gen OEM battery AGM or flooded Lead Acid?

Go to Costco and buy an Interstate for around $150.00 or Walmart and theirs is around the same money... Both good batteries.

According to label on battery it is not AGM ,therefor subject to possible short life if you can't avoid pot holes and rail road tracks. It tells you in owners manual to avoid pot holes ,but doesn't say why. Could be suspension or other week links.

Anyone notice the batteries from costco's negative terminal is too small. You can't clamp down on them and need a shim?

Here is one specific reason to avoid potholes according to page 318 of the owner's manual (Yes I know there are some who drive over pothole canyons with their 19" rubber bands and sustain no damage :
Low profile tires (18-inch/19-inch tires) Low profile tires may cause greater damage than usual to the tire wheel when sustaining impact from the road surface. Therefore, pay attention to the following:

Avoid potholes, uneven pavement, curbs and other road hazards. Failure to do so may lead to severe tire andwheel damage.

I have the Costco AGM Interstate battery and had no problems with either terminal. No shim was needed for mine. I wonder if your bracket has been damaged?

I don't think it's recommend to use an AGM type battery in most automobiles/trucks unless your vehicle specifically indicates otherwise. An AGM battery requires an alternator to apply a 14.7 volt potential across the battery terminals in order to produce a full charge whereas a standard lead flooded battery requires only 14.4 volts to achieve a full charge. Using an AGM battery would never take a full charge using just the car to charge the battery. Using an AGM battery in this manner is not providing you with any added benefit and you're spending a lot more money too to purchase this type of battery. Now you could purchase a smart trickle charger that specifically supports charging AGM type batteries (sometimes referred to as "snowflake' mode). The charging requirements between the 2 types of batteries as I indicated are different. This is the setup I use to charge my AGM battery I have installed in my C8 Corvette. I always keep my charger plugged in so my AGM battery as always at full charge. Haven't had any issues with this setup going on 3.5 years.
