Default Lexus nav issue

Hi all...searched the forum before posting and didn't find anything specific so posting here -
2023 ES300h Luxury with the Nav subscription active. It refuses to find my home address and directs me to a similarly-named street every time. I have entered the correct address numerous times in the app and on the web as well. It refuses to find "home". Not a really big deal since google maps finds it every time and I mostly remember where I live.... although I was a 60's kid....
Just wondering if there's a place to fix it?
Best to all and thanks in advance for any replies,
MG

As I have said before when I got my 2001 LS430 UL years ago I was told the nav in Lexus is not there strong point and that has not changed to date. For my 2020 ES300h I never trust the Lexus nav and just use real time google maps.

Probably your best bet is to file a bug report with (US) Lexus. For convenience, this is what I posted on filing a bug report in another thread:
Go to the Contact Lexus web page, scroll to the bottom to find a "SEND MESSAGE" button, click on it to get a "WELCOME TO SUPPORT REQUEST!" web page, for US support click on the "CONTINUE" button to go to a "TOPIC DETAILS" web page with a "SELECT TOPIC" drop down menu, select "Multimedia Technology" from that menu to get a "SELECT SUBTOPIC" drop down menu, select "Navigation" for that second drop down menu which will result in a expansion to a fill out form for your VIN and 5000 maximum character comment field. (There's a provision for including image or video files if necessary.) After filling out that form, click the "NEXT" button to go to the "YOUR CONTACT INFORMATION" form web page. After filling out that form click on the "SUBMIT" button to submit it.

Based on my past experience in reporting issues to Lexus through the message contact form, Lexus does read and reply in a timely manner. The initial reply will be an automated "We got your message" acknowledgement e-mail. The next reply will be from an actual human with an individual message composed in a manner showing your message has been read, understood, and your specific issue is being addressed. For software/firmware issues/bugs, the response will probably be some form of "we confirm it, we've entered into the issue tracking database, and forwarded it to our <<responsible department>> for resolution".
Also, since the Lexus Navigation map data is provided by HERE, you can go to HERE's map feedback "Report a map problem" for "Kind of problem?" click on "Address problem", on the resulting web page click on one of the "What is wrong?" entries (e.g., Address info is wrong), and then on the resulting web page displaying a world map enter your address into the search input field (magnifying glass icon) to see if the issue is with the source map data database or with something else getting messed up between your inputting your address and what address the map database is queried for to generate the map display and routing information. (As you type in your address a changing menu list of possible/guessed full addresses will appear. Keep typing in your address until you've typed the full address in or you see an entry with the text exactly matching what you would have typed in and select that entry.) For a full address the map will/should zoom in and place a marker on the zoomed in map showing the address location.

Thanks so much grp52. Very much appreciated. I reached out to Lexus, next will be "HERE". Also, thanks for the VERY precise instructions.
Best regards

I'm kind of guessing because I can't remember exactly how I set mine up. To save locations to the Lexus Nav system, I believe you have to use the Lexus app on your smartphone. For Apple or Google maps I think it is as easy as doing a save location when your at that location.
This should help. 2023 ES Full Tutorial. Time stamped per topic.

Thanks for the reply Yumpin! The day after we ordered our car I watched that entire video. And since then, many times. lol.
I am a bit of a tech geek having spent 40+ years in high end consumer electronics/networking, I tried many times entering the correct address but no joy. BTW-- that is a terrific video, our salesperson had never seen it and was grateful when i showed it to him.

That isn't quite correct. Melissa O'Connell discusses that at the 1:40:08 time mark in the video. In the destination address window the heart icon labeled "Save" will save the address as a favorite. To set "Work" and "Home" addresses, you're correct that that has to be done in the Lexus app. Editing the Favorites list (e.g., deleting entries) is also done in the Lexus app.

I'm curious as to what location result you got when putting your address into HERE's map feedback form.

Same result as Lexus navigation's erroneous location?

Correct location for your adress?

Some other result?

When I entered my address into HERE's map it did show the correct location. I then put a note in the comments (fwiw) that the Lexus nav app was NOT directing me to my address but to the similarly named street and I indicated that incorrect street.
What puzzles me is that the free google maps has no issues but the pay to play nav subscription has issues.

In 2001 everyone used embedded navigation with no web connection. The current Lexus nav system uses Google maps via live satellite connection, so it’s now it should work the same as using it on your phone.

In a post above, grp52 indicated that the Lexus nav uses "HERE" for info. It appears that's the case on our '23 ES300h since Google finds my location with zero issues. The Lexus subscription Nav app does not. And i have entered and re-entered my home address multiple times. Even standing on one leg facing east, NO joy.

When I was looking into trading to the new RX I went to the NX forum which had the new nav system a year earlier to ask about reliability. Numerous posters responded with it is better but still not as reliable as the real time google maps. All you have to do is let it really mess you up 1 time and to not trust it anymore. The new system looks great with google maps but it is not data fed with real time google maps sources. Also the satellite is only used for gps and the data is internet over cellular. It would be great if Lexus would pay google for the real time data but continues to use there same data sources that probably also feeds my 2020. Thanks to pressure on Lexus we do have access to a real google maps experience with android auto. By the way I don't know for a fact where the data comes from so if someone that does please post and is it different with the new system.

Thanks! I was too lazy to look it up.

I think only Google Points of Interest (POI) is used. (Melissa O'Connell in her "2023 Lexus ES Full Tutorial - Deep Dive" video at the 1:34:42 time mark states that.)

For the actual map data HERE is the map data source. From both the 2023 and 2024 LEXUS ES250, ES300H, ES350 XXXXX MULTIMEDIA OWNER'S MANUAL on page 252:
