Tires for ES300h
My 2020 ES300hUL came with MICHELINENERGY SAVER A/S235 /45 R18 94V SL BSW and at 35k miles I have 4/32 tread left. I am interested in the ride and gas mileage quality of the tires and from what discount tire tells me this should be the replacement because of the low rolling resistance and these tires were made for hybrids to maximize gas mileage. What have others replaced theirs with and is there a difference in gas mileage, ride, etc. When I google the best fuel efficient tires this also comes as #1.
The cars are still new so you won't find many who replaced the original tires.
My Michelins have been great, look great, quiet, great mileage. Just a bit squealy on turns but that's ok because my car comes standard with the Old Man Package.
If I were to replace them though I would get Hankooks as they are best bang for the buck. Why spend $400 extra to save $200 on fuel over the life of the tires. (if that!)

Our 2020 ES 300h has the Michelins and 25K miles. Tire Rack and I think to replace with Continental DWS Extreme Tracks.
While I really enjoy the above average MPG results once a month when I fuel up, it will be even better if it would corner a bit
better everyday.

Micehlin CrossClimate 2 came in first. I think there are a few members here that vouch for these tires. Right now I am planning to go with these when time comes.

I'd very likely get these. I had them on another car before. One of the few (if only) "high performance" all seasons w/ a LRR-type compound. For me Hankooks typically best balance of price, brand name, eco, looks etc. Most of them, but at least this particular tire.

Having 35k on 55k mile warranty tires Michelin is giving me $390 off a new set of tires. Because these are oem tires most dealers will tell you their is no mileage warranty but all they have to do is call Michelin and file a claim over the phone.
If you are replacing them at 4 32nds, you are replacing them earlier than you need to.

Living in the Northeast I decided to go with CrossClimate2s.
Not the most fuel efficient tire but I still get high 30s and I do have a heavy foot.
Bad weather performance was my goal vs all out fuel economy and in that these do extremely well over stock.

I'm at 4/32nds and will be replacing the OEMs with Michelin ClimateConfort2s before winter.

That's correct. This Consumer Reports article says that wet braking distances decrease by 10% to 25% at 4/32nds tread depth compared to new depending on the specific tire. You need a subscription to view this article.

There's another factor in play here, too. Tires get harder and less pliable due to oxidation as they age, reducing their traction no matter what their tread depth is. That's why the "freshness date" is printed on a tire's sidewall (although unfortunately in code), and that's why it actually matters. You could get a tire off the shelf at a place that sells very few of your tire, and it could be deteriorating from age even though you just bought it "new."
My 2019 ES300h UL came with factory Bridgestone Turanza. Noticed that the power steering was a little bit too hard and was way too responsive with a little bit of turning (I like my steering a little bit softer and with more play since I mostly cruise on highways). The Tech troubleshot everything in the power steering and concluded that came from the tires. Changed them to Michelin Primacy mxv4 and it's been a world of difference. Didn't remember if it was quieter (always been a quiet car), nor for the fuel efficiency.
My car has the same tires from factory. It now has 14.9k miles on them. I notice when roads are wet and going around some corners in normal speed I notice a slight slip before traction control kicks in. At what miles did you replaced with Michelin?

So I finally decided to bite the bullet and got 4 new Micehlin CrossClimate 2 tires to replace my crappy oem at 15k miles. I couldn't stand it anymore and thankfully Michelin has promotion going on right now. So far I am very pleased with my initial impression. I will see how they will hold up over this coming winter. Hopefully the hit on the mpg is minor but some reviews on tirerack said they notice a dip in mpg. In the end I prioritize safety over getting additional 2-3 more miles on a gallon.
For anyone here that has CrossClimbate 2 please share your current experience so far.
