I have a XS max which is 3.06" wide. The 13 Pro is 2.82" wide.

If you don't mind, can you measure the actual width of the console phone holder opening? Thank you so much!

I will try. I have a 7 Plus which I can try to drop in the cupholder tomorrow, worst case scenario, Friday. I have to find it first.

Unless someone chimes in here first and goes "yeah my plus sized iphone fits"

unless you need a specific measurement.

Thanks...no rush. Just trying to determine if I should wait for the 2023. There is a 2022 available to buy now.

The inner corners of the slot are curved so the usable width of the slot will depend upon the thickness of your phone. That said, the width of the phone slot ( from my 2019 ES 350 UL) is a maximum of 3 1/4" and a minimum of 3". The depth of the slot ranges from a maximum of 3/4" to a minimum of about 9/16".

So, if your phone is less than 9/16" thick it will fit with 1/16" to spare.

FYI that plastic insert is removable. Or you can remove it and file/trim it so the opening is wider so your phone fits...

What year ES350 has that cup holder that’s in the picture above?

with 2023 you wont need a holder. It has a usable wireless charger that is the phone holder, while the phone wirelessly connects to the infotainment system; at least based on Euro spec release.

I personally would wait for 2023.

Sorry I got busy. The measurement I got was 3.54", however, it tapers down (narrows) as the slot goes deeper. Not much, maybe 1/2" max.

I hope that's not the case. A flat piece of rubberized plastic doesn't make a good holder. I like my holder to allow me to drop my phone in. I want to see the time, etc. on the phone screen. I'd probably just use an empty cupholder.

Right now I use 50% the phone slot, 50% the cupholder, whichever one doesn't have stuff in it at the time.

iPhone 7 plus plops right in with tons of room to spare. iPhone 7 plus is pretty much the same size as iPhone 13 Pro LOL. 13 pro screen is actually bigger, but 7 plus chasssis is 3-4mm wider (eyeballing)

My '19 holds my iPhone 12 Pro in a Spigen case and the width is a hair under 3 inches. It drops into the slot, where I placed three small rubber bumpers at the bottom.

I also used a dab of FunTak between the fixed portion and the slide-in sleeve on the console. That way that movable piece doesn't wiggle around when you remove the phone.
