Well surprisingly you really don't need anything extra aside from what's in the Aliexpress kit. There are other kits that fit a little better but for the money, I'm totally happy with my setup.
I don't blame you for being Happy with how yours turned out! It looks Fantastic and Lexus should've done it that way in the first place! You did a Great job!
The way that the ambient lighting looks in a stock ES, I'd almost rather not even have it because you can barely see it in the first place and in the second place, you can't change colors. Do it right or don't do it at all is how I feel!
Here is an updated pic. I bought a few more segments because if I can I'm going to add some shorter strips in new locations but I have my doubts that they will fit where I'm thinking...

Very nice. I bought a kit myself that's different but am very happy with the results. A buddy and I got the whole kit installed in 3hrs total, would've been less if we didn't make some mistakes. However it's a fairly easy DIY, just wiring is the pain in the butt for sure.

Where did you get power for the door LED strips? Did you tap into the factory ambient light power wires or run new wires?

I don't have OEM ambient lighting so the kit I bought has 5 power modules (1 main controller and 4 subs, 1 for each door) that hook directly to the led bar. Power is drawn from the window regulators power switch for the doors. As for the dash pieces, they're powered by one of the factory plugs that goes into the led module, can't remember off the top of my head what plug it was exactly but the kit was all wiring that went into each module (1 main, 4 sub modules for the doors) that are powered by factory wiring. "Easy" DIY, just running the wires in the dash was the most challenging part.
Thanks. The reason I ask is I may rewire my doors to use ignition-on power instead so they are brighter. When I tap into the existing ambient light wiring the lights dim when I take the vehicle out of park. That is interesting that it taps into the power window switch, that would actually simplify things I think.

Yeah the kit is user friendly and straight forward, but with little instructions. Little bit of figuring out what plugs into the power modules but you can't get it wrong either as the extra wires were labeled and the factory wires are specific to the power module.
My first time doing ambient light install and it was overall pretty easy. My buddy has some limited experience with them as he's done another car with a similar kit, but we got it done in what I consider a reasonable amount of time with just YouTube teardown videos and some trial and error.

Does the kit you have use harnesses that plug and play with the power window switches? Or do you need to splice into the wiring somehow?

That looks Great! I like that you have the same interior as we do because it leaves little to my imagination as far as what it would look like in Ours!

Hi Dezymond! Do you have a link to the kit that you bought? It sounds like something that even I might be able to handle doing if it's plug n play! I think that to do a whole car with ambient lighting in three hours is pretty fast considering that you've never done it before! Great job!

so you ran the wires from the power windows switch so you can have full brightness even when you change gears?
cause I know it dims when it changes gears like the oem ambient light are that bright!!

where are you thinking about putting the extra lights please let me know cause I want to add more on the dashboard so I like some other opinions or ideals I’m waiting on my kit to arrive but I can order more strips if I can think of more area to light up
also you mention that when it’s in gears is it a lot less bright cause I might end up wiring it somewhere that doesn’t dim the light when out of parked
