Default ES lower sill trim

I saw an ES350 today (few model years old) that had a chrome lower door sill trim mimicking the lower door trim on the LS. It looked pretty sharp and really accentuates the length of the vehicle. Has anyone had it applied to their ES? I am awaiting delivery of a new UL in the next few weeks so I’d be I interested in checking out that option. It cannot be ABS/plasti-chrome, but actual metal like polished stainless. Any ideas/resources?

Yes. Actually I hadn’t thought of e-bay as a source

I wonder how good these are. It says “chrome” from China but I don’t see if it’s actual metal..

I've seen that actual trim, I think plastic would be more durable in the long run, maybe, maybe not.

My LS500 has chrome along the bottom, it looks awesome. The ES notsomuch - it really does need a piece of chrome trim down there! I am awaiting a '22 ES300h UL and very well might add that...

The ES is a bit slab sided so that bottom chrome line is appealing. The plastic won’t rust or dent, perhaps, but the plastic chrome will deteriorate over time and can’t be polished. You see that on a lot of lower end cars that use ABS instead of stainless. It can also delaminate.

Yep, that's the one. I don't have the stomach (or the wallet) for that price, though.

Official "LexusBoutique" items offer through-the-roof prices. Does "wheel kit" mean one rim, or four?

Better be FOUR but even so - that's roughly1/6 of what I paid for the entire car. I'll stick with the OEM 19s.

I think it's best to leave those sorts of things to cars that come with them off the factory floor like the LS. otherwise it just comes off as weird. i can see the appeal though and have thought about it myself, but the only way to do that "right" if at all is to do it Lexus branded option. not paying that kind of money for that. lol
