Only Apple CarPlay on 2019.

Even the very early 2020 models didn't have Android Auto. I waited to buy mine until after the cutoff date to make sure mine had it.

Originally, the 2019 ES did not support Android Auto. However, since then Lexus in a few countries has offered a retrofit that adds Android Auto support to that country's 2019 ES models. In the Android Auto Update For 2019 ES thread, the countries Australia and Spain were mentioned as offering the retrofit. There was also a non-specific reference observation made "The ES cars in Europe and Asia have had it since last summer, some free and some have been charged for it."

Your user profile says you are located in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). So, probably the mostly likely way to know if retrofit is available for UAE sold 2019 Lexus ES automobiles is to ask in country UAE Lexus dealers or local Lexus corporate offices (if any). I don't know if there are any UAE local Lexus owners groups, associations, and/or discussion groups, but, if there are, they may have better information as to whether or not the retrofit is available or who to contact locally that can give you a definitive answer.

That web site is focused mainly on USA Lexus sales, operations, and support. Lexus USA has not and mostly likely will never offer an Android Auto retrofit for USA sold 2019 ES models.

I bought a dongle called Ottocast U2-X that offers wireless Android Auto using the wired CarPlay interface of the 2019 ES. It is a new product and has some drawbacks (supports the track pad like arrow keys). But overall it works pretty well, especially if you talk to it.

What are the drawbacks? It seems pretty much plug and play?

Not all regions got the Lexus dealer carplay retrofit program. Myself and OP are stuck with none-carplay systems that can’t be used with the dongle you mentioned

I'm overall pretty satisfied and glad I bought it. Long pressing on the steering wheel assistant button bring up Google Assistant and it's very responsive as expected. So if you can talk to it, you're golden. But I don't want to gloss over the tedium and confusion that the trackpad brings, at least at the moment. Rather than sliding a mouse around the screen with the trackpad as in the OEM interface, a selection box appears and flicking the trackpad moves the selection box one spot like an arrow key. Want to move three items over? Flick three times. Flick right and left to change selection zones, flick up and down to move within a selection zone. Hard to describe. If the trackpad worked like a mouse I would wholeheartedly recommend. That's really the major drawback.

You have a 7th gen ES without wired CarPlay? I thought that came with all models.

Some early production [US] 2019 ESs did not ship "with additional features such as Apple CarPlay® and Amazon Alexa" which were later upgraded per TSIB L-SB-0027-19 Multimedia System Enhancements Phase 3 (Pioneer) [NHTSA pdf version]. I gather some didn't get upgraded but I haven't seen anything detailing the specific criteria of which ESs weren't upgradable.

That file is a good reference that it is doable for some production batches. I am not sure how you were able to get to that pdf file, but can you please help getting the one for the LC500 so I can send it to my Lexus regional office? This way they won’t argue with me if I ask them to do it since this is an official Lexus document stating the steps and details for the upgrade

Carcomplaints.com is where you can find summary lists of TSBS (Technical Service Bulletins), recalls, etc.. TSB LIST FOR THE 2018 LEXUS LC 500 lists 150 TSB summaries. LEXUS TSB #L-SB-0028-19 is the summary for the Carplay upgrade for the LC 500 and contains the link L-SB-0028-19 Multimedia System Enhancements Phase 3 (Pioneer) [NHTSA pdf]. You need to read paragraph 7 of that pdf since the upgrade is applicable only to a specific DCU/MEU model ID.

Similar TSB summary lists are available for the ES 350 and ES 300h which is where I found the pdf link for the ES 350 Apple Carplay upgrade TSBS.
