We are about to by a es350 non-hybrid and hear of lots of catalytic converter theft these days. We see mostly prius, rx, and others, but never hear of an ES getting hit. Has anyone had that happen or know how easy the ES is to steal?

If these morons want to get your catalytic converter they will, be it an ES a Ford or a Rolls Royce... All they need is an opportunity.

 

That's been going on for many years. The converter is rich in precious metal.

 

Never heard of anyone losing a cat on an ES. The thieves usually target vehicles with more clearance, like SUV's and trucks.
