Another first time Lexus Owner. I have never been a car person. all I needed a car to do was start up and let's go. Yes I would maintain what i had and kept them running and looking good. I was a Motorcycle Guy (no not a Harley)
so at age 56 I had a change of heart and Picked up one beautiful 2020 ES350 and love it.

The sounds system is OK for now. Here's what I need help with I purchased a CARPLAY 2 AIR a little slow to connect but it works great now I'm look for a way to connect to the USB and still close the lid of the cup cover. Is there a 90 degree usb cable short/ low enough that will allow the cover lid to close?

Or. Is there anyway to dislodge the dual USB receptical so that it can fall "down" into the console?

I've had my CarPlay2Air for about 6 months and have been looking for the same solution. The best I can figure is to go to a car audio plkace and have them remove the center console and run an extension line fro the front USB port to the center glove box and install a USB in there.

I haven't priced this out yet though. If you figure something out, Please post it here

Could you use this cable with a female to male adapter?

EDIT: I just realized after I posted this that it won't work because the cable that I posted with the right angle USB has an Apple plug on the other end.

Correct me if I'm off but doesn't it have to be USB male to USB female?

I tried that one, wont work. The 1st one you mentioned will work but maybe in conjuction with the 2nd one.

Why not? What was the problem? Did it stick up too much or did it just not work?

No, the first one I mentioned won't work because it has an 8-pin lightening plug on the other end.

Yes, it sticks up too high. I have the 1st cable you posted and it works great, the door closes fine. I'll grab the Female2Female adapter and see if that works

How did you get the first one to work?

Yes, I'm wondering that, too. The first cable works great if you're plugging it directly into an iPhone using the 8-pin lightening plug. But the CarPlar2Air dongle requires an extension cable that has USB connectors on both ends.
