I’m so sorry to hear that. I’m hoping you’re at least physically ok

Just shaken up but good now thanks! Can't wait to be part of the bad car fax and mismatched pearl paint. Beauty of leasing I suppose

Glad you're ok, nothing a few pieces of duct tape can't fix.

Yikety yikes. Glad you didn't get injured. Looks like a lot of ice on the car but roads appear dry.
Good luck with repair.

Good news that you were just jostled. It looks like the hood was completely spared.

Yea I think I can splice a few wires together to get my parking brake to work again! That's malfunctioning

I was hit by someone running a stop sign while I was making a left turn in my 2016 ES. I posted my journey here but my hood fenders and grill were not damaged. The repair was estimated below 3,000. Well as they peeled the layers back it was bad. Frame damage including the engine cradle.
The insurance companies refused to total the car. 15 months old with 12,000 miles. The entire front end of the car had to be cut off.
I sold it after the 62 day repair job and sued for diminished value.
Good luck!
it pushed the entire front end toward the driver side

Looks like its just the bumper really. You dont see the movement in the nose cone like you do in the red car posted above.

If you take it to a really good shop, the paint will match totally fine.

Glad youre okay!

The problem I find with so many body shops is that they get the color match fine, but the gloss is rarely quite the same as the original paint.

If you choose a really good shop, its a non issue. The gloss is a function of the wetsanding and buffing that happens after the painting is done.

Had my rear bumper done by the best shop in town and its 100% perfect, you would never know.

If it's the other's guy fault, and his insurance, can't you take it to the dealer so they can match the paint the best, at his expense?

Not meaning to sound like a pessimist, but I've learned 'you would never know' is in the eyes of the beholder. The last time we had a car worked on for a sideswipe of our Honda Clarity, almost everyone that saw the work said something to the effect of 'Wow, you'd never know', including my wife. However I was able to spot it immediately. Comparing one side with the other, the unaffected side looked about 20% glossier to my eyes.

I'm an extremely harsh critic, and its very easy for me to spot prior body repairs. However, even to me the repair that was done to my bumper is perfect. My buddys 13 GS in pearl white was hit on the fender and front door and this same shop did his repair and that repair was perfect as well, even to me.

You just need to find a truly excellent shop. And you gotta wait, it took them over 2 weeks just to repair and repaint my bumper. My friends GS was in the shop almost 45 days for a new front fender and new drivers door skin.

The gloss is all in the sanding and polishing that happens after the paint is laid. Its an art form to get the paint to match the peel and gloss of the original paint.
