Our last Prius “felt” more upscale than this particular UX. I imagine a loaded luxury version would be much nicer, but the base UX is definitely just a simple commuter ride - in my opinion. I imagine the base IS would feel lacking as well.
UX has more modern designs and has a better interior compare to the IS, it drives I think slightly worse than the a 4 cylinder IS, but overall I prefer the current UX to IS.

I’m having this exact same malfunction with my brand new IS500. Picked it up today and odometer only has 20 miles. What was the solution for you all?

Yikes. That sucks! Congrats on the new car though. It is a beast of a vehicle. Just take it to nearest dealer asap.

Font and back parking sensor lights were flashing (car still driving fine just those lights are flashing and those sensors don't work anymore), no check engine light, cruise control is working fine. If I turn off the parking assist features those 2 lights will not flashing anymore. I forgot to take picture of these to show you guys.

Then few day later, another message came up on the infotainment screen saying: "advanced ultrasonic detecting and ranging system malfunction...", basically I guess the feature where you backing up it will detect if there is incoming traffic and it will beep and sometime brakes the damn car for you, I hate this **** LOL. See attach below for picture of this error.

Dealer took it in under warranty (it currently has a little over 40K mile), they also recommend to change all for tires + wheel alignment for ~$1,400, which seems ... fair but I decline, I am thinking to get rid of the car, main reason is the seats are too un-comfy. I will update when I get the car back, will take like 1 week because they need to order parts, got an 21 IS300 as loaner, it drives and feels horribly bad in and out... oh well.

Hey macmaster, you got the same message I got as far as the "an advanced ultrasonic detection malfunction" ****, but did you also get the error message or light flashing on odometer for the Parking Support malefaction..., also your check engine light is on LOL, **** ain't funny though T_T

Update: So after dealer took it in, they said will take like 1 week to 10 days because they need the part to be shipped to them.
Then maybe Thanks giving and stuff delayed it more I don't know, but they said on 1 of the SMS status update that the part is coming from outside of the country (don't know where, maybe Japan, maybe China LOL, well all Toy/Lex parts are all made in China anyway). So after 1 month later, I came in get the car, you guys can see the date in the report screenshot I attached, things seem work ok since then. They also lost 1 of the valve stem cap on 1 of the wheels, so frustrated, was gonna order the whole OEM set of 4 online to have some spare, and because I don't have time to come for that small ****, (I like them because they're low key, real solid aluminum and work great, unlike those plastic and steel craps), but it's like $25 - $30 for a set of 4 LOL no ****, I just left that alone and will complain next time I have a chance to visit them then....

here is some screenshots from the service report, I asked the service guy but he couldn't explain, maybe this stuff is too new, I bet the tech won't know either, just whatever the computer and serice manual tell them what to do then they follow it...

I did get those warnings too on the dash computer. The ultrasonic detection only showed up on my app.
