Has anyone tried Carplay with the Beta version of IOS 13 , there are some nice improvements. Ill post some pictures in a bit.
oh and one ....Album art while driving, and i didnt crash !!!

That looks amaaaazng on the 12.3"!!!! WOW. This is what i wanted with carplay, a nice large screen.

And... beta 2 broke carplay now doesnt show up when connected to car actually it will play thru system but nothing on screen just reverts to Lexus Map... oph well part of the early adopter beta process, guess ill wait till 3 is avail in a few weeks .

I’m while in beta 1, we’re you getting album art while only in PARK or did the AA remain after moving out of Park?

it remained even when driving , on both the music screen as well as the new home screen whoch shows map ( apple maps), "suggested location" and a feature that lets you see eta to that location with out " Naviating to" plus also whats playing with album art. a swipefrom right to left brings you to the app icons,

BTW , turning off Bold text restored functionality to carplay(beta bug) . What also nice is if you open an different app on your phone, it doesnt close the one on your screen like orig carplay did.

I just upgraded my phone to iOS 13 Public Beta 3, mostly because I was so anxious to try the new version of CarPlay in my 2019 ES300H. Bottom line: it seems to work just fine with a few hang ups on occasion. I love the new look and the ability to use my phone for something else while still using CarPlay. I did notice that operation was more reliable when I used the trackpad back button rather than trying to navigate to the onscreen back button. Also, iOS 13 seems pretty reliable; I haven’t hit too many bugs yet.

I too just installed iOS 13 beta 3, love the Carplay split screen, just hope that future releases allow for the reordering of the split-screen view

Yes Most bugs i have noticed seems to be , waze opening on its own and starting to nav, even tho its not open on my phone. what interesting it knows my habits and is 90% right as to my destination. Same with the apple maps on that split screen that shows you eta w out nav. if you stop naving in waze it goes to a white screen on waze app. But all in all ,once sorted def like the new set up.
