Thanks for sharing JSHAP. Yours appear to be “tintable” without damaging the inner glass. It does appear that although we have identical models - same Ultra White F Sport, the type of windows are different. I was warned by the tinter to be cautious in having the glass tinted, if it has either the UV or UVS label. My rear window, rear sides and front sides are labeled either UV or UVS. Guess I’m out of luck. Time the focus on maybe Xpel clear bra paint protection instead! In case anyone is interested, here are pics of my 9 glass labels. Setup does not look good for tinting unless one is careful.

Sorry for the delay. Photos attached. The tint doesn’t look anywhere near this dark in sunlight but this 20% tint looks a lot darker than 20% on these windows. I took a photo of the label too.
White FSport. That is one smokin hot car. Im currently shopping for one.
I’ve been working on this issue with my local tinter. It looks like the scratches can be mitigated by using either a plastic blade (not stainless steel) or a scrubbie, similar to what is used to clean Teflon pans. They have had a success so far with no issues.
I plan to get my windows tinted (except the windshield or moonroof) with Llumar CTX 40 this weekend. Will share my experiences and what it looks like when it’s completed.

Finally was able to safely get my windows tinted, with a trusted local tinter in South OC, CA. Here is the takeaway if you have UV/UVS glass - ensure that the tinter knows not to use metal blades when cleaning the inside of the glass when prepping to install the film. A Teflon scrubbie works perfectly to avoid scratching the inside coating. The tint came out beautifully! I am very happy with the results. It was a toss up between 40% and 30%, but in the end, I had Llumar CTX 30 installed on the rear and side windows. Very happy with my choice - not too dark. Please note that the picture makes the tint darker than how it really turned out. Very tough to acccurately show ultra white color with tint.

I just had my windows tinted through the dealership. Their tint guy told me that he is aware of the issue but that it only applies to the NX.
Just wanted to report that the tint came out fine with no issues for me.
Your tint looks nice 19LexusDad !
I went for 18% on the rears and 35% on the front two windows. Would have liked to go a bit darker on the fronts personally (25%) but oh well.
Did you powder coat your rims? Very interested in either powder coating or maybe wrapping mine first to see what they look like.
Thanks SciGuy,
Glad to hear yours turned out well. Please share pics when you get a chance. I did not powder coat my rims - that’s how the 19” F Sport rims come.

Oh I see, I have the non-sport with 18" rims. Thanks for the reply!
I tinted my 2019 es fsport with 20%. I went to a great place and have not seen any problems yet. I will report any problems if they arise. Keep in mind tinting over this particular factory tint makes it much darker than the tint you are applying. I put 20% on there but it looks more like 10%.
I have the same exact year/model my tinter told me he needs to sand out my rear windshield defroster so he can even it out because the defroster has a slight bigger lines and they are on the way of getting the film flushed to it, so of course my answer was NO do not sand it out since I don’t want any problem down the road, so I ask him to do his best to work around it, so after 2 days from installation I do see some air bubbles already and not the moisture bubble like we normally get so I’m not sure if that’s normal because of that defroster issue He mentioned so my question here have you ever run into this problem with your rear windshield? Btw I did 20% in my rear windshield and the sides 35% with xr black and the front windshield 70% with XPEL xr plus it turned out looking very classy !
