Nice reviews. The last one with the comparison was meh. I will say, now that the previous gen is leaving, it was a nice ES.
I do like how Lexus has not added an electronic shift. It is astonishing to think this new ES is larger inside than the LS. Dash buttons seem small. Sad to see that a non-full size spare is going to be included, doesn't seem very luxurious when they don't use a full size like the outgoing gen

To my eye, the current gen ES looks dated and kind of plain next to the new gen in the comparison video.
I'm anxious to see a side by side with a non F Sport 2019 model. I've had early stages of the new car bug lately and the 2019 is peaking my interest in getting back into a Lexus. I also like the looks of the new Avalon but haven't seen one in person yet.

I bet this model will sell like hot cakes not only in the US, but also in EU as more conquest buyers will be coming from both C class and E class shoppers.

But that's because the ES is a huge step up from the current gen. The ES really does resemble the LS, the side profile and front fascia are super attractive and sleek, which is a noticeable improvement over the 6th gen.

I’m from Germany and they’ve never offered the ES. With its current engine offering they wouldn’t be able to seek it anyway since consumption is way too high with our gas prices.

2018 product guide sheet states a full size spare was available for North America.

You're right! They also had the ESh. I'll look for the right picture.
If it was added to the 2018 in the US, that would be the first I've heard of it. No one has mentioned it in the forums. It was definitely not available here before.

If you go to the Lexus media room and download the product info, it states optional full size tire with matching alloy.

I just checked the German Lexus website and finally the ES is listed. It even has a special mention to say that it will be available for the very first time in Germany.
