Gotcha and yeah I think one of those articles does mention a road test analysis but not sure if it is heresay or if the writer was the one who conducted the test. Bottom line is Lexus definitely listened to it’s ES customer base on taking the car from a mundane but aptly stylish old mannish ride to more of a sports sedan with grip and power. But as you pointed out ...nothing will replace you getting in and test driving one 😉

So the ES will be 2" lower...
It'll look better but I wonder if it'll still be able to clear most curbs. My Maserati GT was a nightmare to park always worried I was going to bang up the front end.

Actually I think you may have misread the specs as it’s only .2 inches not 2 inches lower. So curb clearance won’t be a concern.

Interested to hear how this car rides, and more to test one. The 2018 LS500 was a HUGE disappointment in ride, and I did the one with air suspension. Also felt very tight inside, especially for how large it is outside. And the previous LS460 looks ancient, as it is from 2007. I wish they had an 'ultra ultra luxury version ES", I'd pay double for one if it's reliable, quiet, spacious feeling and most of all extremely smooth.

Agree and the irony is that the ES 350 has always had more leg room than the standard LS to the tune of almost 5 inches. Only the LS460 L has more legroom. I doubt this new ES disappoints as the ES is Lexus’ bread n butter model so they spent considerable effort in revamping this new model into a sportier, better handling, more powerful touring sedan.
