Stuff keeps appearing on my Nav Screen. Like 'For you' on the right side (attached picture). Is there a way to get rid of this?
...
According to Grok, the "For you" side panel is an undeletable feature of Android Auto's Coolwalk Interface. Grok also suggested several methods to hide side panels (e.g., the "For you" one) and to change personalization settings to stop anything appearing in the "For you" panel. Since I have no means of validating Grok's answer works or is merely a hallucination, I won't include those suggestions here.
For you is a Sirius XM interface. You can tap the map and the map will show the whole screen. That's the only way to get rid of it. You can also go into settings and have your map on the right side.

I’ve used Sirius since I got my ’22 and I’ve never seen this pop up. Is it something new? I hope not. Are you using Android or Apple linked to your screen (I don’t so I was wondering if that was part of it).
I like the original idea of Sirius but I am getting ever more tired with the placement of more and more advertising, whether for their own programs or just paid garbage. This while the price goes up.

Yes, I use Android Auto pretty much exclusively. So, I can understand ads that may appear. Android Auto is far more accurate for Navigating than the the native Lexus App. The real time traffic info has been invaluable this summer with all of the road construction near my home.
Since I have an iPhone, I've never seen that!
I think it's horrible - and I'm surprised that Google does not have some program that would let you pay to have that screen-shrinking distraction stopped. I think I would pay a lot for that. (. . . Oh, wait. . . I did that when I bought an iPhone.)

Apple..... Been there, done that ............ No Thanks !
I've been a big fan of Google Maps ever since I started using it about 5 years ago. However, I've been disillusioned with it over the last 6 months or so. It used to show alternate routes with "Similar ETAs" but I don't see that anymore. Also, it keeps generating pop ups asking me to confirm if there's construction or police ahead. I can't find a way to shut these off. I've noticed some other minor changes recently that I don't like.
These problems haven't motivated me enough to start using other options yet. I have Apple Maps and Waze on my iPhone, so I do have options.
I understand that Google bought Waze recently and incorporated the crowd sourcing
notification that Waze introduced into Google Maps. Now Apple Maps has a button
also to alert other users. The Pop-Up, "still there/not there" is a minor annoyance but
reassures me that the system is working somewhat.

I have come across the solution to my original question for those that may be interested. It has nothing to do with Android Auto or Apple Car Play. It is part of the Google Maps app. And yes, you can get rid of it quite easily. it is just a toggle on or off. Here is a Video to demonstrate. Click Link below and then Press the Play Button in the Center of the Picture.
