Exclamation Gear indicator display in Auto mode help

I have an ES350 (2019) with just over 130k km on it, all of a sudden it started showing the gear number next to "D" on the front display. I checked to make sure I didn't put it in manual mode and it wasn't the case. The padel shifters are also not responsive. There is no change in the drive and the smoothness of the shifts, just the dash changing between D and then D1-8 and back. When this happens the "eco" mode also disappears. Any suggestions of what might be the issue

would be appreciated.

I wish I could make my 2019 do this.

FSport cluster has a separate screen that indicates GEAR in the MID.

Most likely a software issue/glitch.

Put it to sport mode and back and see what happens?
Put it to (also) manual mode in gear and back..
You can also disconnect battery wait for 15 minutes and press the brake pedal a few times to drain residual power & reconnect the battery to reinitialise modules.

With the indicator frequently changing between the two views, believe me, its not pleasant...

Tried all the modes, was thinking about disconnecting the battery and will try your approach with the brake pedal today and see what happens..

Yes, so was driving today and it didn't flip between views. Stopped and started the car, the glitch came back. Seems to be software issue, so it looks like a dealer visit is the only solution here, unfortunately..

UPDATE: Went to the dealer, they ran the computer and couldnt pick up any faults. Booked in for software flush; however, the service manager told me its the 1st time in his 6 years he's seen something like this... so concerned about if this will actually fix the issue. Paddle shifters are still not working and gears are displayed randomly.
