Infotainment Interface Software Update
It appears theres an update to the Lexus interface software found on the most current Lexus infotainment system (7th gen ES model years 2023-2025). The latest interface version is V2170 as per the link below and is installed via a Lexus pushed OTA (Over The Air update). Perhaps some of 2025 Lexus models are being delivered with this version??
My 2024 ES350 came from the factory late last year with V2150. Ive checked my infotainment system / settings for an update multiple times. The system continues to report no update available. Im especially interested in the update as I will often switch between Apple CarPlay and the native Lexus infotainment system. The new interface version retains the column of Lexus infotainment links for navigation, phone, music systems, etc while in CarPlay.
Has anyone with the latest generation of Lexus infotainment system gotten the interface software update? Was it an OTA push update by Lexus or were you able to initiate the update another way? And, finally, how do you like the latest version? Any, other notable features worth mentioning? Thanks.

There is no way to disable even through techstream. This very smart system will even alert you when the school was torn down 10 years ago. Hi tech.
I enjoy learning that I am entering a school zone at 2AM.
Why not other zones? Entering a Church Zone would remind me to watch my language, and entering a Shopping Zone would remind me to check my credit card limit.

To be fair Lexus is not the only manufacturer doing this. I don't think they are factoring in the fact when the warning appears you have to take your eyes off the road where 100% concentration needs to be in a school zone that is clearly marked. Some may need the warning but there should be an option to disable for those that don't need it and view it as nothing but an annoyance. Afraid this is the way our world is going.

Also, if you look at the NX model info shown in the video with your ES's "Software Update"'s Model info you'll see nothing matches up with Model ID and Parts no. numbers listings.
In short, just because there's a Lexus Interface software update for a Canadian Lexus NX has no implication whatsoever about the possibility of a software update for a US Lexus ES Lexus Interface system.

Look mate: if the zombie apocalypse happens and the students turn into late night zombies, you'll be thankful for that 2am alert.
For a US 2024 Lexus ES 350 UL you should see for Model info a scrollable list with software module information (including a version for each) for HU SW, CA SW, VP SW, GD SW, VD SW, OD SW, SM SW, and AP SW software modules.
I don't know what those two letter module labels are associated with "regular" human understandable names. In the NX video starting at the 2:04 time mark you can see the NX software update involve the "Navigation" and "Voice Recognition" modules with current version numbers of 2050. If you pay attention while the before update Model info is being scrolled though (starting at about the 1:06 time mark) you can see the HU SW, VD SW, and VP SW software modules have a version of 2050. Your guess is as good as mine as to which of two of the three 2050 version modules are involved in the Canadian NX's software update and which "regular" human understandable name goes with which two letter labeled module.
Thanks, GRP. I found that long list also, and was totally confused. Since my setting is for auto-updates, all I can do is assume that current versions will be downloaded and installed from time to time.
Since everything is working fine now, I'm OK with that.

Thanks GRP52. I agree, it appears that the OTA interface update isn’t applicable to all models. Like tfisher, I’ll hang tight and hope Lexus rolls the update out to our ES models. Thanks again for your input.
