Default Scratch on Inside Door Handle

I found a couple of scratches on my fairly new car on the inside door handle. It is a ES 300h. I think my dog did it. I really felt bad. Today I tried some black shoe polish. WOW. It worked 90%. It took out the stuff that was mostly on the top part that looks like buffed metal. The side is shiny plastic and in sun can still see it, but it took the whiteness away. Very happy. Here is an after picture.

unless you plan to cover those sections or leave the dog at home, it's bound to happen again. it's a car. just use it as needed. don't sweat things like that.

You do have a point, but the car was less than a month old. I think I actually will put a towel over handle if dog is in back and watch him better...But you are right, don't sweat the small stuff!

I'm trying to learn not to sweat cosmetic stuff. My '24 has already been hit twice in a parking lot and damaged the front fender. And that's with me being super careful where I park.
I now own a dashcam.

the way i look at it, you can always replace your car but you only get one dog. think of any marks left as little forever reminders of your furry friend.
