The wheel to retract is a different story though.
My legs hit the wheel if it is down too much so easy exit pulling wheel out of the way helps a little.

Retracting the seat helps disabled people. I am partially disabled, and don't have full bending mobility at my knee.
Its difficult to fold my knee to get the leg out between the door jamb and the seat. Seat retraction allows me
to do it without bending the knee too much.
