Great advice on rentals - some of the garbage they let out of their garages is incredible. I usually rent from Avis and they've even become horrible.

See if lexus has a windshield guide for your vehicle.
here's the guide for my car (for example) maybe yours has something like this? red=no repair, blue repair ok if <2"

You should probably just replace it instead of asking a trusted glass pro if it's fixable.
