Default Boredom post: A tribute to my ES

Kinda slow around here today.
I'll tell ya, I'm not one of those folks who gets a new car every couple/three years, I just haven't been set up financially to do that. My last few cars were...quite old. But I was able to comfortably buy my first Lexus, this 2019 ES, and it is by far the nicest, most plush, strongest, quietest, smoothest, most luxurious car I have ever had. It's not only a joy to drive, but just to be in, and I absolutely love it.

Perfect? No, that doesn't exist. Interior creaks and rattles still persist, but I'm confident I'll have them eradicated soon.

What prompted this post, you ask? Well, I just spent 3 days driving my sons' 2012 Honda Civic, and let me tell you, when I got back into my ES...HEAVEN!

Unrelated - last week I caught someone slam the S*#T out of my car with their door in a parking lot. Nasty dent right on the horizontal crease in the rear passenger door, and a chunk of paint gone right down to the bare metal. Thankfully I was there to catch them in the act and have them give my insurance agent their insurance info over the phone. But that was over a week ago and as of this morning their insurance has not been able to contact the person, so they have yet to accept liability. Lesson learned: Take as many pics, get as much personal info as you can before leaving the scene.
In the grand scheme of car incidents, this is as minor as it gets. But still frustrating.

That's it. I'm really enjoying being here in this group.
Hope everyone is having a great day.

I know, I have the same feeling after I drive my 2022 RAV4 Hybrid, 7ES is remarkable.
Believe me or not, sometimes I miss it and I just like to sit inside and listen to ML.
It is a garage queen, I drive it on sat/sun.

I had a rental Camaro for four days last week and I may need to visit a chiropractor now. Happy to be back in my ES.

Sorry about the frustration of having that thoughtless idiot butcher your door.

Sorry to hear of the door damage. Stuff like this drives you nuts. Now you have to worry about paint matching and insurance deductibles... This is why I always park far away from these morons...

It was college kids. Maybe drunk, maybe intentional, I dunno. But it was loud, a lot of force behind it. I took the high road during our interaction, kept my cool. Being patient for now, but wishing I had collected some info. The only proof I have is the fact that they spoke with my Geico agent and provided their Allstate info. We'll see.

I would suggest paintless dent repair if it weren't for that big chip. I recently sideswiped a garbage can due navigating a very narrow icy road. Luckily no paint damage. The guy did an excellent repair.

The 7ES is a remarkable car, especially at the price. I really do love mine.
