ES250 Advise
If you already own an ES 250 AWD, all respect. I'm not aware of having a reputation for any particular quality defects or problems. But in most critics' eyes, that is not viewed as the best value or most pleasing drive in the ES lineup.

Absolutely correct. The difference between the 250 and 350 is only a couple hundred dollars and the gas mileage is nearly the same. The 4 cylinder is smaller and uses less but AWD drivetrain has more parasitic drivetrain loss. If the AWD is needed for your purpose then cool.

I bought a 2024 es250 awd with 12k miles from a dealer in July. I formally had a 2017 es350 ultra luxury that unfortunately was totaled. Before that I had a 2003 es 300.
I’ll say this. I am planning on trading it in for a 2026 hybrid when they become available and have considered trading it towards a higher mileage es350
The infotainment and adaptive cruise control are the only features superior to my 2017 es350.
The engine is loud and feels like it’s straining especially getting up to speed on the highway. That said once it reaches speed the car is pretty smooth on the highway. Likely the 8 speed transmission playing a role there.
the interior is much cheaper feeling.
the door sounds hollow when I close it.
I want to love this car but I’m having trouble connecting to it like I did in my 2017.
To its credit, the stereo is better than some reviews say it is. But only after adjusting the settings.
