Use your preferred search engine and search for "Qi Wireless Charging Case for iPhone SE". You'll find several cases to chose from.

No idea as to how well any of them perform with the 2021 ES Qi charging pad.

No go. My old 2016 1st Gen SE phone just won’t work with a wireless charger. New phone on schedule soon. All will fall into place then.
thanks for your thoughts.

Looks like your trusty 1st Gen SE is in need of some juice! While it's not equipped with wireless charging capabilities, fear not, my friend. I've scoured the interwebs and found just the adapter to give you the qi charging you crave. But, if I may offer a humble suggestion, perhaps it's time to consider that upgrade anyway. Just a thought.😁

Thanks so much for your informative response. Will check link now. My old 2016 SE phone is pretty much for emergency use and use as a jukebox for my doo-wop oldies music collection. Not much of a phone chatter. As an old guy (75), the technical advancements of the expensive new iPhones don’t interest me. Will keep my old one until it dies or Apple no longer supports it (just like I plan to do with my Lexus, as I don’t expect to like the Gen 8 as it’s speculated to be made). Hope your reference can make my old phone compatible for the wireless charger in my 2021 Lexus. After all, as I recall, that wireless charger option in the Lexus cost me $75! 😜

That item appears promising. I’m going to buy it. So I simply put it inside my outer protective case and simply lay the whole thing on the Lexus wireless charger and turn on the wireless charger. Is that right?

It should be slim enough to fit inside some cases. However, you will likely encounter the problem that many have posted about, including me, in that most phone cases are too thick to allow for wireless charging, and we've had to remove the case to utilize the wireless charger. You'd still encounter this issue even with a brand-new iPhone and case. We've got a bit of a phone case conundrum on our hands. While wireless charging is all the rage these days, many of us are being held back by our trusty phone cases, at least regarding the 7ES wireless charger. It's a real shame, isn't it? Who wants to fumble around with their phone case every time they need a quick charge? Not me, that's for sure. Based on my extensive testing with over five versions of iPhone and ten different cases in my MY 19 and MY 22 ES, wireless charging will only be allowed if the devices are removed from their cases. This is too much hassle for me, and I've resigned to only using the corded charging option. My supposition is this, considering any other wireless charging device I've used has no issue charging my iPhone 14 with its Otterbox case, it's clear that the wireless chargers in the 7ES are not powerful enough. Common sense should have dictated that most users will have mobile phone cases and that removing a case every time to utilize the wireless charger would be counterproductive. The engineers should have factored this into the design and utilization. It's like they're in cahoots or something! But hey, at least we can still rely on good old-fashioned corded charging, right? Who needs wireless charging anyway? Well, except for those times when you're feeling extra lazy...
I agree with you; if my car has a feature I want to use, it should provide convenience, not frustration and hassle.

For $14.00, I guess I can give it a try. My case i dispensable but funny thing is either I plug phone into this gadget the lay it on wireless charger, or I plug phone into charging cable (hidden in elbow storage compartment). No actual difference. Either way, there’s a step in plugging something into the phone!
This whole thing is comedic. No wonder Lexus charged only $75 for the wireless charger option. That’s about all it’s worth to me—-maybe!

Does or does not your 1st gen iPhone SE work with an external Qi wireless charger accessory?

The only difference between UltraLux22's and my recommendation is whether the external Qi wireless charger receiver coils are embedded in an phone carrying/protective case or not. Both use the same means of feeding power from an external Qi power receiver coil to the iPhone internal battery through a connector to the iPhone SE's lightening connector.

Why limit yourself to a boring old written description when you can experience the answer in all its video glory? And don't worry about your iPhone SE being left out - it's totally compatible, no FOMO required.

Wireless charging for the SE wasn't introduced until the 2nd Gen SE in 2020. Wireless charging for iPhones was first introduced in 2017 with the iPhone 8. So out of the box, his 2016 SE wouldn't be getting any wireless love without an adapter, if I understand your question. I'm easily confused, so...

Just watched the YouTube video. Very encouraging! I think it’s gonna’ work. I’m so optimistic, I just ordered a transparent phone case to make mine look and work like the guy in the video did. Thanks so much for your help. I’ll let you know how it all works out when the items are delivered tomorrow and Thursday.

I know when wireless charging was introduced. Why else do you think I suggested buying one of the multitude iPhone SE compatible cases with a external, built-in Qi receiver coil charger that would wirelessly charge his 1st gen iPhone SE?

Shaboom's response to my suggestion to buy one of the multitude of iPhone SE cases with built-in external Qi chargers that will charge his iPhone SE through the lightning port connector was:

See that "... just won't work ..."?

If that is truly true (which it isn't) then your recommended non-case external Qi charger CANNOT also be:

Shaboom responded in one instant it DOESN'T and in another it DOES.

That's why I posted the conversation series containing the mutually exclusive DOES/DOESN'T responses with the "Does or does not your 1st gen iPhone SE work with an external Qi wireless charger accessory?" to point out the dichotomy of the capability responses.

Although such external Qi charger cases aren't as "in stock" as they used to be, in case anyone doubts such beasts exist here's an example:

I didn’t intend to say this new adapter gadget wouldn’t work. I intended to say that the my 2016 1st generation SE phone will not work with my 2021 Lexus Wireless charger. However, this adapter that I just bought is promising. It states specifically that it will work with my phone. I’ll find out in a day or two when it’s delivered. I’m so optimistic, I bought a new transparent plastic case like the one in the guy’s video. I’ll going all out on this project—-over $20 bucks already!!!😜
