The 2019 Lexus ES I recently bought is showing that maintenance (inspection) is due and to contact dealer. The car has barely 7000 miles and still under warranty. The 2 dealers I contacted are asking over $350 for the "checkup". My question is: could a local mechanic who is well experienced with Lexus, BMW, and VW perform the inspection? If I did ask him to performs the inspection, would this void any Lexus warranty left on the vehicle?

At only 7k miles, it need basically nothing unless the oil has never been changed. Having an independent perform maintenance will NOT void your warranty. Moss Magnusson Act

And probably have the tires rotated. All done... About $100.00 with the oil change vs. $350.00 at the dealer...
