The Lexus emblem is just lazy and how its executed -- a cheap plastic mound with the L embossed underneath said mound" is just low rent. i always hated it. Glad L E X U S is moving their emblem up market.
disagree about the actual emblem.
“The Lexus symbol, according to the company, was chosen to be instantly recognizable for the brand, while highlighting the unique aesthetic of the company. Lexus wanted something both simple and refined, yet capable of depicting the smooth curves common on Lexus vehicles.According to some expert, the shape of the logo also supposedly follows a precise mathematical formula and was designed by Hunter Communications and Molly Designs”
It's a trim level with specific styling on the inside and out. As such the F Sport logo is appropriate. I didn't buy it as a sports car but I did buy the F Sport for its appearance.
My last car was the RC F Sport and 4 wheel steering was one of the few handling options, something that greatly enhanced the driving experience. It wasn't somethinig outwardly visible, but when a manufacturer makes different models, I like the delineations badged.
(It was the same when I had a Chrysler 300C, and it was badged on the front fenders and the trunk lid. Easy to distinguish from a regular 300 (6 cyl engine) and a 300S, which was a standard model too.)

Cool your engines - nobody thinks it's a sports car but it looks light years better than the non FSport version inside and out.
I'm a big fan of F Sports and I've had three in the past (how many have you had?) but I don't like them on the ES or LS. I think it's like trying to put body kits and wings on full bodied luxury cars, that kind of aesthetic just seems weird/odd. Probably why BMW doesn't make an M7.
Big body FWD luxury car kind of clashes with sport. I'm not saying the F Sport ES is bad but it's just a bit awkward. The kind of awkward that would make me feel subconcious about having a big FWD boat with a sport badge on it.
I want the ES to be a big floaty boat and not be ashamed of it.

Chrysler 300C. The official car of "Sir go ahead and step out of the vehicle for me, hands where I can see 'em."
