I just picked up my new ES 300 H luxury this evening.

I expected it to have the rearview mirror compass but I don’t think it does. I have the Navigation/Mark Levinson package, if that matters.

Does anyone know if I should have the compass or not?

 

Negative. No mirror compass.

 

It’s in the manual.

What trim or spec gets it?

 

I know those with NAV do NOT get it likely thinking is that it's already on the NAV screen.

 

The compass display in the rearview mirror is standard when the car does not have Navigation.
Adding the Nav (with or without Mark Levinson) deletes the mirror compass.

You have three (3) choices of compass display:
Upper left corner of the Map Display, also identifies your Map Orientation - North Up, Heading Up 2D, Heading Up 3d
Tap the upper Right icon to bring up a secondary Map Screen on the right side, tap the top arrows to change from Map to Compass Face.
Press the steering wheel "Menu" button next to the "4 square" rocker. Default display is MPG. Press the right (or left) of the 4 square until you see the Compass
