Still shocked Lexus did a secret launch of new 18" wheels. They were no where in the press release or brochures. Is that an industry first? lol. I bet they look great in person.

A great deal of these designs fall to personal preferences. The touch screen isn’t anything special. I have it on our 21 RX and after 6 months I still find I prefer the touchpad. I’m also not a big fan of the fingerprints all over the display screen. Never liked it on previous touch-screen equipped cars either so my preference leans away from touch screens.

As to the wireless CarPlay or Android Auto, the new NX has it, so I would expect to see it on all new generation vehicles in the future. So I suspect your 2024 estimate is accurate.

I can't believe the excitement over a touchscreen as well. On one hand, folks bash Lexus for being behind the times in technology yet they prefer a touchscreen which I haven't had in a car in many many years.

I have that. I would say it works poorly. Takes too long to connect and audio over the device is noticeably poor, even when compared to BT streaming.

Its nicest use is wireless navigation via carplay projection. but the moment you turn on any song (spotify etc) it sounds quite bad. Like you notice it right away. I wish I could stream over normal BT with carplay wireless connected but that does not seem to be an option.

I understand. I mainly use it for Waze and not music. Mine takes about 1 minute to connect. Built-in Carplay would definitely be better.

Yeah 1 minute is a pain. but once it connects the wireless navigation is nice. I just decided I don't use it enough to justify taking the wireless hit. So I hardrouted a hidden wire under the console for a nicer look

Isn't these days fog light's job has been replaced with main headlight? they don't do much in terms of improving visibility since most of modern led headlights with projector style housings have a more evenly distributed spread..

Fog light these days became a merely decorative/aesthetic point than functional.

I want it for decoration.

Side benefit is added illumination.
