Nice. Thanks for sharing. It is good to have some options for those that want some customization and these are reversible so that is a bonus.

This thread is directed to people who are considering similar items which is why i added these pieces to change up the look of the bare black plastic of our window switches.

I don't mind the textured plastic around my window switches. The subtle pattern is interesting and it's not bad to touch; does not feel cheap at all to me. Not all "plastic" is created equally. It's not it's made out of the hard, thin satin finish (GM) or leather grain ABS (Ford) other OEMs are so fond of...or worse piano black like Audi and sometimes BMW puts freaking everywhere. For such a regularly used touchpoint, I wouldn't expect a glossy, painted metal to look good for very long in this application. To each their own though, it's good you're happy with it since it's your car and that's all that matters.

Remember this is a public forum and you're going to get people's opinions in response posting stuff like this. Comes with the territory so don't be so offended it's not all positive. Plus don't forget you make quite a few strongly opinionated posts yourself in response to others' cars. Oh well...

I definitely make strongly opinionated posts particularly when it comes to tastefulness of mods or when a user asks for an opinion. Which is why I prefaced my original post with "I don't usually like" or "I don't usually do." Despite that, the poster continued to come in the thread saying what he did and that's fine--just be prepared if I respond in kind, or even stronger. In the same way "don't be offended it's not all positive"--same goes back to you. In your particular case I did not come in to attack you but rather take the time to help you with your sunroof leaking problem but you saw it as personal. I didn't come in and say "your car sucks bye."

If something is blatantly poor, dangerous, or illegal I'll call it out. But I don't go out of my way to be an *** -- you can read between the lines when someone is trying to be a jerk.

Again as I stated or implied, these kinds of mods from China are rarely good quality or well done but these are which is why I posted it. Rest assured I'm relatively new here but I come from the Euro circles to which I'm known pretty much world wide. If I give something a mark of approval from *me*, it's a high, high compliment. Which is rare as I hate most things.

Now please back on topic.

Yep as easily as they can be installed, they can be removed. Not all of them look great though. Some are made of plastic or rubber and as a result are imprecise and thick. That's why buying these I took a chance. There's many sellers, variations, colors, and textures available. Research carefully.

As these are made of stamped steel, these fit supremely.

Also the photos do not do them justice. In person they give the interior a whole new level of appearance, especially when you are getting in.

And yes the textured plastic is a step up from normal plastic, but these just really add to the appearance.

Some users in the UX subs have bought similar things for their cars. Some look good, some don't. Depends what you buy.

It's a crap shoot. I got some of this type of mods from China for my Audi and was pleasantly surprise they were decent quality for the price. *fingers crossed* as I just ordered some for my ES300h Luxury. I want to break up the monotonous color of the interior. I got bored in this sea of blackness.
