Allstate Drivewise
Now, I'm wondering whether I'll also be getting dinged if I answer the phone (hands free) when I get an incoming call while I'm driving. Since I didn't get any incoming coming calls while I was out yesterday, I don't know for sure, but I won't be surprised if I do get dinged.
Do you know whether that is the case?

Actually, this morning as I was leaving the dealership with our RX I called my wife via the car’s Bluetooth. She wanted me to pick up lunch. Anyway, it does not show “phone use” as one of the ‘dings” so I believe that answers your question. For anyone else following this discussion, bear in mind it shows 5 different metrics, Acceleration, braking, cornering, speeding and phone use. It grades each on a scale from poor to great (5 point scale). Even on those times it erroneously nicked me for phone use, it only took a couple of points off that one metric, making my score average for the “phone use” metric but still a “great” score on the other 4 metrics. I did get dinged two points for Braking on my way to the dealer this morning, and I might have lost a point to Speeding in there somewhere...

I live in an area that is, to say the least, technologically challenged. When I drive into a valley, I'm likely to lose the cell phone signal. If I'm streaming Tune-In when that happens, I'll lose the signal and I need to refresh it to get it restarted. I'm guessing that, when I got dinged, it was because I had lost the cell signal and needed to re-fresh the app.
